Never wanting to specialise in any one sector, or only deal with brands of any particular size, David’s ambitions have always been more straightforward – helping brands to differentiate. This is when David’s job is at its most rewarding, working with clients to design and roll out identities that push the envelope in their respective industries. His passion lies in finding out exactly what your brand is or needs to be in order to change or amplify it, enjoying laying the groundwork for the brand strategy before bringing that to life with the rest of his design team.

BGN’s brand-led approach was, in some ways, David’s brainchild – but something that always seemed like the right way of working from his days as a designer. For David, the only way to deliver tangible results in design is by making sure that it is grounded in a brand’s reality and future ambitions simultaneously. Outside of the studio, David is an active speaker and guest lecturer, always keen to help nurture the next generation of creative talent.
